From 2008, Einstoffen have been the frontrunners of sustainable eyewear. Exclusively designed in Switzerland using natural materials, Einstoffen’s wooden and stone frames have taken Europe by storm. Being one of the few carbon neutral eyewear brands in the world, these designs not only care for the environment but both look and feel amazing to wear.

Einstoffen uses their remarkable frame materials to create a unparalleled uniqueness in their designs. Biodegradable acetate makes your favourite, chunkier frames environmentally friendly whilst the sleek and subtle style of a wooden frame gives you a long-lasting, distinctive look. The use of natural materials means that no two Einstoffen frames will be the same, a nod to innovative self-expression.

All Einstoffen designs are also named after different professions. The Märbelpicker (Marble maker) is a fully-round frame that pays homage to the past marble makers, who would roll them by hand! The Blumenbinder (Flower arranger) is a small, aesthetic frame based on the colourful and artistic arrangements that florists create. Every Einstoffen frame has a backstory inspired by real people.

I can’t fault the customer service and care I received at Loxley. I felt the eye test was thorough and I was walked through all personalised recommendations for my eye health. When buying glasses I decided to keep my frames the same but switch the lenses and I was very pleased with how fast they sent off and changed my lenses because I needed them 4 days later. I will be coming back next year.

This is my third set of glasses from Indy and I needed them for a specific reason. I honestly couldn’t be happier with the service I’ve had at Loxley. From Imogen’s friendly welcome and assistance picking new frames, to Indy’s thorough eye exam. I’ve been wary of visiting the opticians following an eye injury a few years ago, but Indy made me feel comfortable at all times and explained all the scan results which helped put my mind at ease.

We are focused on providing total eye care for you and your family. Our eye examinations (eye tests) are 45 minutes, rather than the typical 20-30 minutes you find on the high street, followed by your very own personalised eyewear styling. All our eye tests are carried out at our Nottingham City Centre Opticians, on Friar Lane.
