I can’t fault the customer service and care I received at Loxley. I felt the eye test was thorough and I was walked through all personalised recommendations for my eye health. When buying glasses I decided to keep my frames the same but switch the lenses and I was very pleased with how fast they sent off and changed my lenses because I needed them 4 days later. I will be coming back next year.

This is my third set of glasses from Indy and I needed them for a specific reason. He totally listened to my requirements, completed a raft of eye / health checks to make sure what I was asking for was both suitable and achievable, and didn't' push me in any direction whatsoever - totally professional and personalised service. If you are looking for a true, caring professional in this crowded market, go to Loxley - they are superb!

I honestly couldn’t be happier with the service I’ve had at Loxley. From Imogen’s friendly welcome and assistance picking new frames, to Indy’s thorough eye exam. I’ve been wary of visiting the opticians following an eye injury a few years ago, but Indy made me feel comfortable at all times and explained all the scan results which helped put my mind at ease.

Loxley has the best customer service ever, booking an appointment it's just so easy and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I went there to fit new lenses in my glasses and they did an amazing job, they advised me what's best and helped me adjust the glasses with strong attention to the detail. I can't be happier. Thanks guys! ????

Lovely customer experience at Loxley! Indy made us feel welcomed from start to finish. I've always had a hard time choosing the right frame for my face shape but I absolutely loved the one that was recommended to me. Thank you so much Indy for the straight to the point consultation. Taking the bus!

The most convenient way to reach us is by bus. Nottingham City Transport (NCT) offers a range of bus services from West Bridgford that will take you straight to the city.

The Green Line (5, 6, 7, 7B, 8 and 9) and Navy Line (1, 1A, 1B, 3 and 4) will all take you straight from West Bridgford to the City Centre (the Angel Row stop is just around the corner from our store!)

Non NCT buses also stop right outside our store on Friar Lane, such as the COT (cotgrave) and KC (keyworth) which both stop in West Bridgford.

Arriving by tram

Depending on where you live in West Bridgford, a tram may be your easiest mode of transport.

Both the Compton Acres and Wilford Lane stops cater for residents of West Bridgford and take them straight to Nottingham City Centre.

What’s even better is that we are only a 2 minute walk from the Market Square tram stop!

Driving in

If you’re driving in to visit us, West Bridgford is approximately a 10-15 minute drive away from the City Centre at a distance of around 3 miles (5km). Being located in the heart of Friar Lane, we are very fortunate to have a range of close-by National Car Parks on Maid Marian Way and additional street parking.

Cycling to us

West Bridgford and Nottingham City Centre are both well-connected by safe cycle lanes and paths.

Depending on how quick you cycle, it takes around 20-30 minutes to get to us from West Bridgford. Friar Lane also has a number of bike stands that we are more than happy to point out for you.

If you’re not wanting to let your bike out of your sight, we are more than happy to watch it whilst you have your eye test.

A Loxley eye test is more than just a sight test.
