Thierry Lasry is a French designer, who in 2006, dived into the world of fashion and eyewear. Mixing craftmanship with renowned Parisian design, Thierry Lasry took the optical world by storm with his visionary and ground-breaking frames. He is a firm believer in the design speaking for itself, with confident colours, shapes and lines, as well as no branding on the frames.

Inspired by 80s culture and French fashion icons Thierry Mugler and Claude Montana, Thierry Lasry’s brand was born. All designs are his own work and are entirely handcrafted by skilled professionals using Italian acetate by Mazzucchelli. Lasry envisions his frames like LEGO from his childhood; all pieces are perfectly placed together and with unbound creativity, you can design something that has never been seen before.

Some of the 21st century’s most famous celebrities have been spotted out-and-about wearing Thierry Lasry frames. These include Beyoncé, Rihanna and Travis Scott. Collaborations are also frequent for Lasry’s brand. The most famous include DC Comics in 2010 & 2014, Barbie in 2019 and PSG in 2021. I can’t fault the customer service and care I received at Loxley. I felt the eye test was thorough and I was walked through all personalised recommendations for my eye health. When buying glasses I decided to keep my frames the same but switch the lenses and I was very pleased with how fast they sent off and changed my lenses because I needed them 4 days later. I will be coming back next year.

This is my third set of glasses from Indy and I needed them for a specific reason. I honestly couldn’t be happier with the service I’ve had at Loxley. From Imogen’s friendly welcome and assistance picking new frames, to Indy’s thorough eye exam. I’ve been wary of visiting the opticians following an eye injury a few years ago, but Indy made me feel comfortable at all times and explained all the scan results which helped put my mind at ease.

We are focused on providing total eye care for you and your family. Our eye examinations (eye tests) are 45 minutes, rather than the typical 20-30 minutes you find on the high street, followed by your very own personalised eyewear styling. All our eye tests are carried out at our Nottingham City Centre Opticians, on Friar Lane.
