Founded in Jura, France in 1880 by Jules Morel, the frames have developed to see through each era of time. From the first pairs of the heavy “pince-nez” (nose clips – that quite literally do what they say!) to today’s lightweight acetate designs, the 4th generation of the Morel family have got you covered.

From the elimination of physical frame catalogues to creating a recyclable bag instead of a glasses case, Morel is working hard on sustainability. As their headquarters are located in the mountain region of Jura, France, they are surrounded by nature. To encourage biodiversity, Morel have incorporated beehives, birdhouses and insect hotels into their grounds.

Eye Test
We are focused on providing total eye care for you and your family. Our eye examinations (eye tests) are 45 minutes, rather than the typical 20-30 minutes you find on the high street, followed by your very own personalised eyewear styling. All our eye tests are carried out at our Nottingham City Centre Opticians, on Friar Lane.
Glasses & Sunglasses
We are fashion orientated, with a fine eye for detail and quality. We pride ourselves in supporting independent eyewear, giving you a choice of unique glasses and sunglasses to choose from. Indy and his siblings travel around the world meeting inspirational independent eyewear designers, who share the same values as Loxley.
We also offer a range of accessories such as glasses chains, sunglasses clips, cases, glasses cleaning cloths & sprays, replacement screws & nose pads.
Lenses
When it comes to lenses we work with industry leaders, offering an array of lens manufacturers (like Carl Zeiss, BBGR and Essilor). With our understanding of your needs and with the guidance of our expert opticians, we will recommend the perfect lenses to suit your lifestyle.
